Race update

Zoulou is first across the line as fleet continues racing.

Congratulations to Zoulou, skippered by 84-year-old Peter Cunningham, who was first to cross the line this morning, in an elapsed time of 3:26:20.

At the start of the day, over 800 boats gathered on the Royal Yacht Squadron line, ready for this year’s race.
While the weather forecast suggested the possibility of thunderstorms and squally showers, the competitors were greeted by largely favourable conditions across the morning’s racing.

Zoulou led the fleet heading down the south of the Island, followed by Ocean 11, which was the second boat to finish, in an elapsed time of 03:55:18.

At 1pm, the bulk of the competitors were approaching St Catherine’s Point. We have been experiencing some technical issues with our live tracking but we are working hard to rectify this as soon as possible.
